It is no longer news in Udu local Government area of Delta State that PDP Miscreants are bent on destroying APC campaign billboards erected to advertise the agenda and manifestoes of our Candidates to the electorates of Udu ahead of the 2023 election.
This uncivilize act has been going on in Udu before the just concluded primary elections by various political parties.
Prior to the emergence of Barr. Collins Egbetama as the Delta State house of assembly Candidate of APC in Udu local Government area, some billboards were erected at various locations across Udu to sell his agenda to the people.
It was however gathered that today morning, 31st August 2022, some PDP Miscreants in their usually way, came to cut down and destroyed the campaign billboards of Hon. Collins Egbetama that has his face and that of the APC Delta State gubernatorial Candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, located at the popular Udu Express Junction.
We are by this means notifying all constituted/concerned authorities in Udu, the Nigeria Police Force and the general public, to be aware of a plot by PDP in Udu to hit up the polity unnecessarily, for the obvious fear of the iminent defeat that awaits them in 2023.
We wish to state categorically that as much as we are law abiding and ready to comply with the electoral guidelines by the Independent National Electoral Commission, any further destruction of APC campaign billboards and materials anywhere in Udu, may attract a reprisal, as nobody has the monopoly of violence.
Udu PDP should tell the electorates of Udu what they have done in their many years of holding sway to power. Let them show to the Udu people the projects of their Delta State house of assembly Candidate as a two term Council Chairman that make him deserve the votes and trust of the people in 2023.
The PDP in Udu should know that destroying APC campaign billboards cannot stop the unavoidable defeat that will happen to them like a time bomb in 2023.
